A little something I’ve been doing for my sons since their 1st birthday. Each year I buy a daily newspaper on their birthday and seal it using my Food Saver. If you don’t have a Food Saver, you can use plastic wrap and storage tape. Then store the newspaper in a Rubbermaid storage box, which I use for all their keepsakes.
By the time they are adults and out of the house, they’ll have about 18 – 25 (depending on when they move out!) newspapers and one day they can look back on all the headlines from years past. It will give them a snapshot of the world when they were growing up.
I LOVE this idea. So great. I have kept numerous newspapers from different "big" days, but never thought to do it for every birthday.
