Hello! Welcome to Hart’s Beat. I’m Pamela.
Just a few tidbits about me. I’m a wife. I’ve been married since 1987 to, whom I think is, the most wonderful man ever (well that’s on the days when my hormones aren’t raging out of control and I think he’s a big jerk!), but truth be told, he’s probably the only man who will put up with me.
I’m also a mom. I have two sons. My oldest was born in 1992 and my youngest was born in 1997. They are the sunshine of my days (and believe me, I need it here in Pennsylvania, where the days are GRAY!). My sons are the MOST perfect accomplishments of my life.
I’m a daughter. My parents are my dad and my step-mom, and she’s the mother of my heart. I wasn’t blessed with a good bio-mother, but my dad did an excellent job the second time around and I’m ever so grateful.
I’m a sister. The eldest of seven siblings! Three brothers and four sisters. DNA means nothing to me, and if I get into the whole story now, this will turn into a book. My short family dynamics work like this: 2 bio-brothers; 1 step-sister; 1 step-brother; and 3 half-sisters. I love them ALL and don’t use those silly step/half labels.
I’m a friend. I take that title very seriously. I am honest and loyal and will go to extreme measures for someone I call friend. I don’t give my trust or my heart quickly. Once I do, it’s forever, although if you break it, you’re done. I’m not vindictive; I just won’t permit myself to be hurt again.
I’m a writer. I love words, therefore I MUST write, hence my blog was born, and then another. I started this blog, Hart’s Beat, as a way to express myself more creatively.
I’m not the comical-make-you-pee-your-pants-laugh type (my humor has been seriously stifled), I’m more the let-me-analyze-the-crap-out-of-you type and can guarantee more ah-ha moments rather than ha-ha ones. Although, I have been known for a funny one-liner, or two.
Nevertheless, I hope you’ll stick around and read some more...or should I say I hope I write enough interesting posts that will make you want to stick around!
Be sure to subscribe by email, or in a Feeder. Like me on Facebook, but only if you do (like me that is)! Browse, read, comment, have fun and thank you for stopping by and taking the time to get to know a little about me.

ReplyDeleteSo nice to learn a little more about you Pamela. I completely understand about the dragons of childhood. I'll look forward to reading more of your posts!
Bubbe, thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSlaying those dragons has been one of my most difficult challenges! Seems when I slay one, another rears its ugly head!
